They finally released one and the idea behind it is outside the box as the app functions quite differently from Tik Tok.
What Is Facebook’s Collab App?
Collab is an app developed by Facebook’s NPE Team that primarily allows users to create a 15-second music video. It empowers artists by giving them the ability to record collaborative music videos by joining up to three individual recordings together.
Thus principally, to create music on Collab, you can either upload three 15 seconds videos and join them together or work on another user’s created music video. Although you can still edit your music videos to your own taste, one of the chief features of this app is it does that automatically.
Features Of the Collab App
- Its user interface is very similar to Tik Tok. Scroll up and down to see public feeds from various artists on the music social media network. You can also cut and integrate other user’s videos into your own video like the Tik Tok Stitch feature.
- You can export a Collab video to other social media networks like Facebook, Instagram, and so on.
- Lots of interesting feeds from users around the world. Facebook’s popular friend law doesn’t apply here. Thus you do not necessarily need to be a friend to get my content on your feed on Collab just like Tik Tok.
- Easy to create videos as the app takes all the hard work out of it. Collab also features some very effective tools in music video editing and making.
- It’s not integrated with Facebook meaning it’s a standalone app.
How to Download the Facebook’s Collab App
Facebook did not integrate the Collab app with their exquisite social media network and as such you’d have to download it from your device’s designated app stores. For now, the app is only available to IOS users located in the U.S and Canada.
- Update the Apple play store on your device and open it.
- Use the search tab to find the Collab app and download it to your device.
Open the app and start making music videos.
